Muessig Named to All-MAC Second Team

Graduate midfielder marks first all-conference selection for the Chippewas since 2021
CLEVELAND — Graduate midfielder Claudia Muessig (Paw Paw, Mich. / Paw Paw) of Central Michigan Soccer was named to the All-Mid-American Conference second team, the league office announced Tuesday morning.
Muessig has been a standout for the Chippewas in each of her two seasons with the program, transferred in from Northern Illinois ahead of the 2023 campaign.
She tied for the team-high with five goals in 2024, with her eight goals in her tenure as the high mark over the last two seasons combined. All five of Muessig's goals on the season either took a lead or tied a game. All three league games she scored in led to points toward the MAC standings (at Eastern Mich., at Toledo, v. Bowling Green).
Muessig is the first all-conference selection for Central Michigan since the 2021 season.
