Last-minute reminders and announcements for Saturday’s Toilet Paper Toss/White-Out Doubleheader!
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—In celebration of its time-honored tradition, Central Michigan University is hosting a Toilet Paper Toss game for the second consecutive year when the Chippewas entertain rival Western Michigan in men's basketball on Saturday evening at McGuirk Arena (7:02 p.m. tipoff). Additionally, CMU's women's basketball will host Kent State earlier that day at 1 p.m.
Fans are urged to arrive at McGuirk Arena as early as possible as the Toilet Paper Toss will occur BEFORE THE GAME at approximately 6:48 p.m. ET. The National Anthem will be played at 6:40 p.m. followed by introductions of the Central Michigan men's basketball team. A Central Michigan men's basketball player will throw down a dunk and the arena will simultaneously throw toilet paper on the floor. The moment will be a reenactment of past toilet paper tosses.
Arena gates open at 5:30 p.m. The toilet paper will be furnished for all fans as rolls will be handed out at the entrances. With the game being designated as a White-Out, fans are encouraged to wear white shirts. Students are encouraged to wear their Snake Pit t-shirts that have been previously distributed. White pompoms and rally towels will be distributed at the gates. The first 200 students through the gates will receive a free dinner, courtesy of Buffalo Wild Wings. The game will also feature added concessions, including pizza from Pizza King.
A limited number of general admission tickets still remain for the game. Fans who purchase a ticket to the men's game receive free admission to the women's game. Adult General Admission tickets are $15, while Youth/Senior General Admission tickets are $12. Tickets can be purchased at this link. Upper Club Lounge tickets are still available for $65 per person. Those tickets include a game ticket, seating in the Upper Club Lounge and food. The purchase of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is available.
Student tickets are also still available for free. To claim a ticket, Central Michigan students must download the CMU Athletics app, sign up for Maroon & Gold Rewards program, and then claim a ticket through the Maroon & Gold Rewards prize store. This link contains a video tutorial for students.
Parking lots open at 4 p.m. A limited number of advance parking remains available for $10 by calling the Central Michigan Ticket Office at (989) 774-3045.
