Chippewas (310) eighth in 14-team field

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Ashley Goh and Rachel Niskanen both shot 4-over par 76 on Saturday to lead the Central Michigan women's golf team in the first round of the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational at Stone Ridge Golf Club.

The Chippewas posted a 310 team total and stand in eighth place in the 14-team field.

The second and final round of the 36-hole tournament is scheduled for Sunday (10 a.m.).

Goh and Niskanen are tied for 24^th in the 85-player field.

Also for the Chippewas on Saturday, Rachel Kauflin shot 78, Mackenzie Baustad shot 80, and Lexi Schulman carded an 88.

CMU's Alexis McMurray and Evanka Shah, playing as individuals, shot 80 and 92, respectively.

Pennsylvania shot 287 on Saturday and leads the tournament by four shots over Harvard. Oakland (296) is third.

Harvard's Charissa Shang and Pennsylvania's Julie Shin both shot 3-under 69 and share the first-round lead. They lead by one shot over Toledo's Macy Hanus, Oakland's Nateda Her, and Pennsylvania's Bridget O'Keefe.
