MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—Central Michigan Athletics is inviting CMU students and Mount Pleasant community members to submit nominations for individuals and organizations who have made a meaningful and positive impact on their communities. From dedicated volunteers and inspiring mentors to student leaders and compassionate neighbors, this recognition effort aims to celebrate those whose actions help strengthen and uplift the campus and surrounding community.
Community Champions nominations are open now through Sunday, November 2, and can be submitted via an online form at this link. Anyone connected to the Central Michigan or Mount Pleasant community is eligible to be nominated. Selected individuals will be honored during Central Michigan's football game against Buffalo on Wednesday, November 12 at 7 p.m.
"We know there are so many individuals in our community doing incredible things every day — often without recognition," Central Michigan Zyzelewski Family Vice President/Director of Athletics Amy Folan said. "This is our opportunity to thank and celebrate the people who make a real difference. This is also a special way for us to connect with our fans and community while highlighting the people who reflect the best of what CMU and Mount Pleasant represent."
