Women’s Basketball Promotional Schedule Announced

Hoops for Hunger vs. Kent State (Jan. 7); McGuirk Madness featuring Detroit Pistons Extreme (Feb. 21)
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — The 2025-26 Central Michigan Women's Basketball promotional slate was announced featuring themes, giveaways and ticket discounts across the 13-game home schedule this season.
All season long, home games will feature a toss of CMU-branded mini basketballs during media timeouts and postgame free throws on the court for children ages 12 and under.
Promotions and themes are subject to change. Stay tuned to CMU Athletics social media and CMUChippewas.com for an upcoming announcement for ticket discounts and promotions throughout the season.
Game by game summaries of themes and giveaways below:
WICKED DAY – Eastern Illinois (Nov. 22)
Emerald City invades the court for this Saturday home game against the Panthers. Fans are encouraged to wear green and pink to show your Wicked spirit. Students will be divided in the stands—those wearing green on the west end, those in pink on the east. Fans will receive green and/or pink pompoms and LED foam sticks upon entry while supplies last.
YOUTH DAY – Purdue (Nov. 30)
Postgame autographs of the 2025-26 team poster, a kids' raffle at Fan Central, high-five tunnel for kids 12 and under, free CMU Basketball bracelets and more will be available, so bring the kids and be loud as the Chippewas take on the Boilermakers.
HOLIDAY HOOPS – Northern Illinois (Dec. 20)
Say "hi" to Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus and get into the holiday spirit for the Mid-American Conference opener against the Huskies. Fans will receive holiday-themed giveaways while supplies last, and are encouraged to wear holiday sweaters!
BASKETBALL BINGO – Ohio (Dec. 31)
Fans will receive bingo cards at Fan Central upon entry, the first 20 to report back with a 'Bingo' during the game will receive a prize!
HOOPS FOR HUNGER – Kent State (Jan. 7)
Community schools will make the field trip for the 15th edition of Hoops for Hunger. A kids-themed pre-game playlist and halftime games are on the docket. The contest will also recognize the winning school of the canned food drive in support of the Isabella Community Food Bank.
PINK GAME/BREAST CANCER AWARENESS – Eastern Michigan (Jan. 17)
Break out your pink gear, pick up pink '3' cards and pompoms and cheer on CMU against the Eagles. Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon stickers, educational pamphlets and in-game facts will be featured.
STAFF/FACULTY APPRECIATION – Ball State (Jan. 28)
Come out to recognize the dedicated faculty and staff of Central Michigan University! Players will choose a staff/faculty member each to be recognized pregame. Selected staff/faculty will receive an appreciation button and a handwritten note from their player. CMU staff/faculty will receive discounted tickets of $7.
NATIONAL GIRLS AND WOMEN IN SPORTS – MAC-Sun Belt Challenge (Feb. 7)
Pick up a specialty NGWSD poster and take it to postgame autographs with the players. A postgame youth clinic will also be available for kids 12 and under. More details to come regarding CMU's National Girls and Women in Sports Day initiative.
BLACK HISTORY MONTH – Akron (Feb. 11)
In recognition of Black History Month, Life Every Voice and Sing will be played along with the national anthem prior to tip—true for all February home contests. CMU's black RSOs will be invited to table at the contest and quotes from players and coaching staff will be featured on the videoboard during timeouts. There will also be a CMU President's Staff & Faculty Appreciation event.
HOOPS & HEARTS/ALUMNI DAY – Western Michigan (Feb. 14)
Come catch up with our many Women's Basketball alumni and celebrate Valentine's Day as the Chippewas host Western. Themed valentine's day cards will be available and in-game promotions will call upon couples in attendance as contestants. For a little extra valentine's fun, students will be offered bracelets based on being 'single' or 'taken' and will be seated accordingly.
McGUIRK MADNESS – Massachusetts (Feb. 21)
Time to go mad for this doubleheader with CMU Men's Basketball as the Detroit Pistons Extreme Team will perform at halftime. The Pistons' mascot, Hooper, will be available for photos as well! Stay tuned for additional announcements related to this doubleheader!
SENIOR NIGHT – Bowling Green (March 4)
Come celebrate the Chippewa seniors—Taylor Anderson, Demetria Prewitt, Nehku Mitchell and Zareia Chevre—following the contest with the Falcons. Fans can pick up '3' cards upon entry as part of the recognition.
