Brown will graduate early, join Chippewas in second semester
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Central Michigan Women's Basketball welcomes two new members in the early stages of the 2025-26 signing cycle in Sarah Brown and Audrey Parker.
Brown, a five-foot-nine guard from Waco, Texas, will join the program between semesters in 2025-26 as an early graduate of China Spring High School.
"We're thrilled to welcome Sarah to our program," Head Coach Kristin Haynie said. "Not only is she an exceptional three-point shooter, but she's worked incredibly hard over the last year and a half to become a multidimensional scorer who can finish at the rim. We love her motor, and we can't wait to bring her competitiveness and work ethic into our gym."
Brown played the bulk of her high school career at Waco Midway High School, earned TABC First Team All-6A Region II as a junior and has been named first team all-district in all three seasons. On top of basketball, Brown earned back-to-back district championships as a forward for the Midway soccer team and was once selected for the United States Soccer Olympic Development Program.
"I felt that Central Michigan University would be the perfect place to pursue my passion for basketball while contributing to a supportive and dedicated team," Brown said.
Parker, a six-foot forward from Copley, Ohio, will graduate in the spring of 2026 from Copley High School.
"We're excited to bring Audrey's skill set to our program," Haynie said. "Her three-point shooting ability and her versatility on both ends of the floor, being able to play and guard multiple positions because of her length and size, make her a tremendous addition to our team."
With a full season left of her high school career, Parker entered her senior campaign as an All-State Special Mention by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters in 2024-25 and a two-time All-Suburban League first team selection. She helped Copley to a league, district and regional title in her sophomore year.
"The coaching staff is so welcoming," Parker said, "and I feel like they will really help me grow as a player and accomplish great things as a team! There is also such a good family environment which was so important to me throughout the recruiting process.
Central Michigan Women's Basketball returns to McGuirk Arena to host Purdue Sunday (Nov. 30; 1 p.m. ET), the final home contest before Mid-American Conference action begins Dec. 20 against Northern Illinois (1 p.m. ET).
