Baseball Out of MAC Tournament After Dropping Series Finale at Toledo

CMU finished 20-35, 11-19 Mid-American Conference. The Rockets are headed to the MAC Tournament with a 28-27, 17-13 mark.
The league tournament, which will be played in Avon, Ohio, begins on Wednesday, May 21.
Mikey Murphy provided the offensive highlights for CMU as the junior hit a pair of home runs, a third-inning solo shot and a two-run blast in the seventh. It marked the seventh and eighth homers of the season for Murphy.
Aydin Wright wrapped up an outstanding junior season with a two-hit game, raising his average to a team-high .345.
CMU starter Hayden Bailey allowed 11 runs on nine hits over 3 1/3 innings in taking the loss. Liam Stumpf and Cayden Smith pitched in relief.
