Nine Chippewas Earn Phil Steele Magazine Preseason All-MAC Honors

Linebacker Jordan Kwiatkowski earns First Team accolades; linebacker Dakota Cochran and long snapper Ben Pratt are Second Team honorees.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—Nine Central Michigan football players were named to the Phil Steele Magazine preseason All-Mid-American Conference Football team.
Earning First Team honors was senior linebacker Jordan Kwiatkowski. Second Team honorees were senior linebacker Dakota Cochran and senior long snapper Ben Pratt.
Third Team honorees were junior defensive lineman Kade Kostus, and senior defensive lineman Michael Heldman.
Fourth Team members included junior tight end DeCorion Temple, junior offensive lineman Brady Ploucha, senior linebacker Fernando Sanchez III, and senior defensive back Caleb Spann.
Central Michigan opens its 2025 football season at San Jose State on Thursday, August 28. The Chippewas will host five home games, including four on Saturdays and play seven in-state games, including at Michigan (Sept. 13) and at Western Michigan (Nov. 1).
The 2025 Mid-American Conference Football Media Day is scheduled for Thursday, July 24 at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich. Additional details will be available at a later date.
