2025 Chippewa Field Hockey Schedule Announced

Three separate trips to the northeast, four straight on the road to end regular season; addition of UMass to MAC schedule
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — The 2025 schedule for Central Michigan Field Hockey was announced Wednesday, featuring a six-game home slate that opens Sept. 5.

Back-to-back contests with Mercyhurst open the 2025 home schedule (Sept. 5 & 7) before the Mid-American Conference schedule begins Sept. 19 with a visit from James Madison. The remainder of the home MAC schedule: Ohio (Sept. 28), Appalachian State (Oct. 10), Kent State (Oct. 19).

The nonconference road slate features a season-opening visit to Philadelphia, Pa. (Drexel, Aug. 29; Temple, Aug. 31) and a stop in Hamilton, N.Y. (Colgate, Sept. 12; Long Island, Sept. 13). The Chippewas will battle Merrimack (Oct. 5) and Virginia Commonwealth (Oct. 26) as tack-on matchups during road swings in the league schedule.

Central Michigan Field Hockey will make the first-ever road trip for in-conference play at Massachusetts (Oct. 3) of any CMU sport, aside from football, as UMass's addition to the Mid-American Conference begins in 2025-26. The regular season concludes with four straight on the road, ending with a visit to Michigan State (Nov. 2).
