Three Named to Men's Golf Academic All-MAC

Juniors Andrus, Coons and Phillips honored as first time recipients
CLEVELAND – Central Michigan Men's Golf's Jeffrey Andrus, Orlando Coons and Easton Phillips have been named Academic All-MAC, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The three recipients, all juniors, are first-time honorees. This is the second Academic All-MAC class for the program, with Arie Jackman having received the honor in 2024.
Andrus, hailing from Clawson, Mich., maintains a 3.34 grade-point average while majoring in finance.
Coons, who is from Reno, Nev., is pursing a degree in entrepreneurship and has a 3.56 GPA.
Phillips, from Coronado, Calif., has a 3.20 GPA and majors in marketing.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and any transfer in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
