Chippewa Cross Country Announces 2025 Schedule; Drenth Memorial Aug. 29

The 40th Annual Jeff Drenth Memorial kicks off the 2025 campaign in Shepherd, Mich.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Central Michigan Cross Country opens the 2025 season with the 40th Annual Jeff Drenth Memorial Aug. 29, the first of four meets prior to the Mid-American Conference Championships (Nov. 1).
The Chippewas will visit two MAC foes between the George Dales Classic (Sept. 19) at Western Michigan and the Falcon Invitational (Oct. 17) at Bowling Green. Lehigh's long-standing Paul Short Classic (Oct. 3) fills the space between these trips.
The NCAA postseason begins with the Great Lakes Regionals (Nov. 14) in Evansville, Ind., followed by the NCAA Championships (Nov. 22) in Columbia, Mo.
The CMU women claimed a fifth-place finish in last season's MAC Championship, its best team performance since 2015; the men finished seventh.
