Chippewas fall, 4-0, at Cochrane Stadium after collecting points in the MAC standings in previous two outings

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Central Michigan Soccer had its two-match scoring streak in the Mid-American Conference standings cut off Sunday afternoon in a 4-0 defeat at league title contender Bowling Green.

The Chippewas had collected one point in each of the past two league contests, with 1-1 draws at Ball State (Sept. 18), vs. Toledo (Sept. 25) prior to the stumble against the Falcons.

CMU allowed the deciding goal in the 16^th minute by Bowling Green's Emma Stransky, now tied for the conference lead with six goals on the season.

Sophomore Ella Betzold (Essexville, Mich. / Garber) logged the Chippewas' lone on-target attempt, in the third minute of the contest, to push her streak to five consecutive matches with a shot on-goal.

Central Michigan Soccer returns to host Northern Illinois (Oct. 2) and Massachusetts (Oct. 5) next week. The Sunday matchup with UMass will be Senior Day.
