Five Chippewas Earn At-Large CSC Academic All-District

Standouts from CMU Gymnastics, Field Hockey and Lacrosse recognized for all-around performance
GREENWOOD, Ind. — Five Central Michigan student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large Team, announced today.

The five are Luciana Alvarado-Reid and Lia Kmieciak, gymnastics; Mallory Camryn and Carolena Ryon, field hockey; and Ava Regitz, lacrosse.

In order to earn the honor, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better and have appeared in a requisite number of her team's scheduled competitions.

Alvarado-Reid, who hails from Cartago, Costa Rica, earned a bachelor's of English literature in May, graduating with a 3.75 grade point average; Kmieciak, graduate student, Naperville, Ill., 4.00, media arts; Camryn, senior, Stony Creek, Ont., 4.00, community development; Ryon, sophomore, Factoryville, Pa., 3.57, undeclared; Regitz, junior, Marietta, Ga., 3.96, journalism.
