All fans, alumni, and friends of the University invited to attend 2026 Homecoming Weekend in Mount Pleasant.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—Central Michigan's 2026 Homecoming Football Game and MAC opener versus Akron on Saturday, October 3 is scheduled to kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET at Kramer/Deromedi Field at Kelly/Shorts Stadium, the two schools and Mid-American Conference announced on Monday afternoon. The contest will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Sponsored by McLaren, Central Michigan will host its 100th all-time Homecoming Game dating back to Nov. 22, 1924, when it defeated Alma 13-0. The Chippewas own a 62-35-2 record in Homecoming games.
On Saturday morning before kickoff, Central Michigan will host its annual Homecoming parade. A variety of other on-campus Homecoming events will be announced by the university at a later date. For more information, click here.
Multiple groups will be recognized during the game, including the Homecoming Grand Marshals and Maroon & Gold Ambassadors. Additional presentations include the recognition of CMU Athletics' prestigious Boyden and Enberg Award recipients.
This Saturday, Central Michigan travels to South Florida to play its final nonconference game at No. 6/5 Miami, Fla. (3-0, 2-0 ACC) on Saturday, Sept. 26. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET for a nationally televised game on The CW.
