First Central Michigan Football Coaches Show Set for Tonight at 6 p.m. at Soaring Eagle Casino

First radio show will air live tonight from the Soaring Eagle Ascend Sports Bar & Lounge beginning at 6 p.m.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—Fans will get an inside look at the Central Michigan football program as CMU Athletics and the CMU Chippewas Sports Network will host the first Central Michigan Football Coaches Show, presented by Fabiano Brothers Thursday night at Ascend Sports Bar & Lounge at Soaring Eagle Casino. Tonight's show begins at 6 p.m. and will feature interviews with head coach Matt Drinkall, offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Jim Chapin, quarterback Angel Flores, and offensive lineman Martin Koivisto.
Hosted by Voice of the Chippewas Adam Jaksa, CMU Head Coach Matt Drinkall breaks down the weekly opponent and takes a look at the Chippewas' performance in their previous game. Admission is free for all. Fans who are not able to make it out to see the live show can watch or listen live on the CMU Athletics YouTube page, CMU Football Facebook page, and CMU Football X page. A recorded version of the show will be posted on www.cmuchippewas.com the day following the broadcast.
This year, four shows will originate live from the Ascend Sports Bar & Lounge at Soaring Eagle Casino (located at the back of the main floor). Those dates include Thursday, Sept. 3 before the 2026 season opener at New Mexico, Thursday, Sept. 17 before the Wyoming game, Thursday, Oct. 1 before the Homecoming Game vs. Akron, and Thursday, Oct. 15 prior to the Western Michigan contest.
In the eight weeks without a live show, CMU Athletics will broadcast a virtual show featuring highlights and interviews with coaches and players. The virtual show will air on the CMU Athletics YouTube page, CMU Football Facebook page and CMU Football X page and will be posted by 6 p.m. on Thursdays. A recorded version of the show will be posted on www.cmuchippewas.com the day following the broadcast.
