On this episode of the Coach Mac Podcast, Adam and Coach begin the show recapping the first couple of weeks of spring practice. The team is preparing for its first spring scrimmage coming up later this week, which will give the new faces on the roster an opportunity to show their teammates and the coaching staff what they can do. They also touch on the Quarterback position and what each of the four players competing for the starting job bring to the table. Our guest this week is Elmo Walton(19:00). Elmo is the owner of Max and Emily's, which has been a staple in the Mount Pleasant community for over 25 years. Elmo touches on the vast array of sandwiches the restaurant offers and how the menu is created, as well as his career path within the restaurant industry. Director of Athletics, Amy Folan talks men's basketball memories and the brand new season with two prestigious Central Michigan hoops alums. Dan Majerle, the 14-year NBA veteran and 3x NBA All-Star stops by, along with one of his former coaches at Central Michigan, Denny Kuiper. Kuiper played at Central from 1967-1971 and then helped coach as an assistant for multiple years, along with being a head coach at Sacred Heart and Mount Pleasant High School.
