2021-22: Posted a 20-7 record and qualified for the NCAA Championships for the third consecutive season, going 2-2 in the tournament at 141 pounds … closed the regular season ranked 12thnationally … won four matches via major decision and one each via technical fall and pin … closed with a 107-59 career record.
2020-21: Finished 11-3 and qualified for the NCAA Championships for the second consecutive year … went 2-2 at the NCAA Championships, opening with an 18-6 major-decision victory over Connor McGonagle of Lehigh and then following with a 6-3 win over Chad Red of Nebraska; fell to top-seeded Jayden Eierman of Iowa on a pin and then bowed to Dylan Duncan of Illinois, 8-6 … went 3-0 at the conference tournament to repeat as Mid-American Conference champion … scored bonus points in seven his 11 victories, including two falls and two technical falls … dropped season-opening match to 12th-ranked Allan Hart of Missouri, 4-2, and then reeled off 11 consecutive wins.
2019-20: Earned Second Team All-America honors from the National Wrestling Coaches Association … finished 29-8 … went 4-0 with a technical fall and a major decision to place first at Mid-American Conference Championships (3/7-8) … earned Outstanding Wrestler at MAC Championships … first Chippewa to accomplish that feat since 2012 (Joe Roth) … qualified for NCAA Championships for first time in his career, earning the No. 12 seed … posted 11 victories by major decision, tying for fourth in the nation in that category … also had three victories by pin and two by technical fall … closed the season on eight-match win streak … went 6-2 to place seventh at Midlands Championships (12/28-29) … went 2-1 to place second at Army Black Knight Invitational (11/17), falling in the title match to third-ranked Nick Lee of Penn State … went 3-1 to place second at the Appalachian State Mountaineer Open (11/9) … went 5-1 to place third at the Michigan State Open (11/2) … named a Scholar All-American by the NWCA … named a MAC Distinguished Scholar Athlete … earned Academic All-MAC honors.
2018-19: CMU’s starter at 149 pounds … finished season with 11-12 record, including 7-6 in duals … placed third at the MAC Championships (3/8), posting a 17-7 major-decision victory over Alec Hagan of Ohio in the third-place match … came back from 0-1 start to win three consecutive matches – the first a major, the second a pin, and the third a major -- at MAC Championships … won eight of his final 11 matches on the season … earned Academic All-MAC honors.
2017-18: Finished 15-20 at 133 pounds … recorded five victories via pin and four on a major decision … went 4-1 to place second at the Michigan State Open (11/5), posting two wins via a pin and two more by major decision … two pins and two major decisions … recorded 3-1 record and placed third at the Eastern Michigan Open (11/11) including one major decision and one pin … recorded 3-2 record Las Vegas Invitational (12/1-2) including one pin and one major decision … recorded 2-2 record at the Midlands Championships (12/29-30).
2016-17: Finished 21-9 at 141 pounds … recorded four pins, one technical fall and five major decisions … went 5-1 to place fifth at the Eastern Michigan Open (11/5) … went 3-3 to place fifth at the Michigan State Open (11/20) … went 4-1 to place second at the Mount Union Purple Raider Open (1/15) … went 4-0 to place first in the Alma Open (1/21) … went 4-2 in the Edinboro Open (2/4).
