Robbie Dombrowski joined the Central Michigan baseball staff as Director of Baseball Operations in August, 2020. Prior to joining the Chippewas, Dombrowski served as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at his alma mater, St. Norbert College in DePere, Wis.
Prior to his time at St. Norbert, Dombrowski served as the graduate assistant and hitting coach at Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss. Additionally, he has served as a head coach in two collegiate summer leagues, the Western Canadian Baseball League and the Ohio Valley League.
As a player, Dombrowski was a three-year starter at catcher for St. Norbert College and two-time team captain. He played for current CMU volunteer assistant coach Tom Winske at St. Norbert, the same school that produced CMU head coach Jordan Bischel and assistant coach Tony Jandron. In 2017, Dombrowski helped lead the Green Knights to a conference championship and NCAA regional berth, while setting the school record for most team wins in a single season.
Dombrowski, a native of Delafield, Wis., attained his bachelor’s degree from St. Norbert College and earned his master’s degree in Sports Administration from Belhaven University in 2020.
