Ben Presnell is in his ninth season as a member of the Central Michigan University football staff.
As the director of operations, Presnell serves as the primary liaison for coach Jim McElwain and the football program to all areas within the athletics department and Central Michigan University.
Among Presnell's duties are budget oversight, team travel coordination, training camp logistics, bowl preparation and travel, internal team and staff communication, training table meals, the summer school and jobs program, and the student-worker program.
Presnell has also served as the program's director of player personnel and in quality control.
Presnell worked as an intern with the Detroit Lions during the NFL team’s training camp for the 2013 season. He was raised in Mount Pleasant, is a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience with regard to the football program, the campus, and the surrounding community.
He earned his bachelor’s degree with a major in entrepreneurship from CMU in 2004 and his master’s in sports administration from CMU in 2013.
He spent nearly a decade working in the online media business in Los Angeles where he was part of a team that helped launch two very successful online entertainment news websites and TV shows. He returned home to Mount Pleasant to pursue a career in athletics.
Presnell and his wife Liz have a daughter, Piper.
