Former Central Michigan All-MAC football player Da’Quaun Jamison began his second year as CMU Football’s Defensive Graduate Assistant. He began his duties in February 2023.
Jamison spent the 2022 season as the Safeties/NickelBacks Coach and Special Teams Coordinator at NCAA Division II Albany State University. He helped the lead the Golden Rams to a 7-2 overall record and 5-2 finish in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and mentored two defensive backs who earned All-SIAC honors in James Hawkins (First Team) and Jaree Turner (Second Team) in 2022.
A Leesburg, Ga. native and Lee County High School graduate, Jamison graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications in December 2019. Jamison played four years on the Chippewas’ football team, where he earned All-MAC honors and was named team captain in 2019. He finished his career with 143 total tackles (101 solo), 9.0 tackles for loss, 18 pass deflections, and three interceptions.
As a senior safety in 2019, Jamison made 68 tackles (47 solo), registered 5.0 tackles for loss, one sack, intercepted two passes, and deflected two passes. Jamison also served as a member of CMU’s Athletics’ Leadership Academy Director’s Table from 2018-19.
