Nate Mason was named Central Michigan’s Coordinator for Athletic Equipment Operations in March 2023. Mason oversees equipment services for the Chippewa Football Team.
A native of Belding, Mich. Mason returns to Mount Pleasant after serving the 2022-23 academic year as the Director of Equipment Services at Furman University in Greenville, S.C. He moved to Furman after working as the Athletic Equipment Manager at Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, Ohio from April 2021-June 2022, where he oversaw equipment operations for the 24 intercollegiate sports teams.
A 2018 graduate of Central Michigan University, Mason earned his Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Communication and Leadership. He previously served as the Football Operations Liaison at Central Michigan for 11 months from 2019-20 and as the Head Student Manager from 2016-18. Mason also was a member of the Chippewa Cheer team for two years.
After graduation he worked two National Football League internships in equipment services with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2019 Training Camp) and New York Jets (2018-19).
Mason has been a AEMA Certified equipment manager since 2021.
