Nolan Jones begins his first year as a member of the Central Michigan football staff as Director of Analytics.

Jones arrives in Mount Pleasant after serving as an assistant football coach at Kanas Wesleyan since January 2022. During his three-year tenure at this alma mater, Jones worked as the Defensive Run Game Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator, and Defensive Line Coach. He also served as Strength and Speed Coach for the athletic department.

Previously, Jones worked as the Running Backs Coach and Equipment Coordinator at Highland Community College in 2021 and as a strength and conditioning intern at Northwest Missouri State University during the summer of 2021.

Prior to starting his coaching career, Jones played on the defensive line at Kansas Wesleyan. During his collegiate career, Jones was a member of two conference championship teams in both 2018 and 2019, held a position on the team leadership council, and was a two-time KCAC Football Scholar-Athlete. Jones was named the KCAC Champion of Character for the KWU football team for the 2020-2021 season. Off the field, Jones was also a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society and graduated with Summa Cum Laude academic honors.

A Plainville, Kansas native, Jones earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science (Personal Training) with a minor in athletic coaching from Kansas Wesleyan University in 2021.
