Born Korver Demma on December 25, 2004 in Chandler, Ariz. … Son of John and Megan Demma … Has two brothers—Glazier and Vohn, and two sisters—Gianna and Esmae … Named Korver after his mother’s maiden name … Mother, Megan (Korver), was a three-year letterwinner for the Nebraska volleyball team from 1996-98, who earned All-America and All-Big 12 accolades, along with Academic All-America honors as a senior … His great-grandfather, Perry Franks, played football for Nebraska in the 1930s and earned a varsity letter in 1936 … Grandfather was drafted in the second round of the NFL draft in the 1970s by John Madden and played for the Los Angeles Raiders, and won a Super Bowl … Great uncle Larry “Bubb” Korver was inducted into the College Hall of Fame and coached for 30 years at Northwestern College and won two NAIA national championships … Cousin Kyle played 15 years in the NBA … Interned for his father in Michigan and was contacted by Sean Cronin to transfer to Central Michigan … After visiting and several phone calls, he made the decision to transfer to CMU … His name Korver means “basketweaver” in Dutch.
