Born Rory Patrick Callahan on July 9, 2004 in Dearborn, Mich. … Son of Pat and Linda Callahan … Has two sisters Summer and Faith … Sister Faith attends CMU and is a softball player for the Chippewas … Sister Summer played softball at Michigan State, then played softball and graduated from Bowling Green in 2021 … Both of his parents attended Wayne State … Father played football at Wayne State for two years … Hobbies and interests include fishing, hunting, riding quads, and video games … Family loves spending time outdoors as his family owns a cottage on Houghton Lake … Father is role model because he is the toughest guy he knows … Selected Central Michigan because it felt like home to him and feels like the right place to be … Has always dreamed about attending Central Michigan … Became interested in CMU during his sister’s recruitment process as he fell in love with the campus and facilities on her visit … While attending a football game, he told his parents he would play on CMU’s field someday … Chose Central Michigan over Northern Illinois, Grand Valley State, Ferris State, Davenport, Wayne State, Eastern Michigan, Ohio, Michigan Tech, and Lawrence Tech … Intends to major in Kinesiology … Has a dream to coach football at the collegiate level and possibly attend chiropractic school.
