Bio
2024: Did not see action due to injury
High School: Graduated on the 4.0-plus GPA honor roll from Athens High School in Troy, Mich. in 2024 … four-year varsity soccer player for the RedHawks including the 2021 state semifinal appearance … named an all-league defender in 2023 … three-time district champion … named her team’s Most Versatile Player (2022) … was a member of several clubs at Athens, was Co-President of the Concert Orchestra as a cello player and was Vice President of the student council
Club: Played U18 and U19 for Liverpool FC in Pontiac, Mich. … played for Nationals Soccer Club in Shelby Twp., Mich., led her team to the 2021 State Cup semifinal … earned Liverpool FC Coaches’ Player Award (2023)
Personal: Daughter of Michael and Karen Bloom … has one older sister, Ashley … enjoys watching Detroit football and hockey with her dad, hanging out on the family pontoon at a cottage in Cheboygan, Mich., taking her German Shepherd, Koda, on walks and hanging out with her cats, Basil and Oreo … has two cacti … used to wear an orange headband for good luck, that “could never be washed”
Why CMU?: “As someone who deeply values education, I wanted to make sure I attended a school that represented me and my career path well. I had been told about Central’s excellent Special Education department by family friends and teachers which sparked my interest. Along with this, I found out that Central held the center of unified sports for Michigan which was super important to me as a current Unified Basketball mentor and Link member. Aside from my career path, CMU is only about an hour away from Lansing which is where my older sister, Ashley lives as a fourth-grade teacher. Now whenever I need help or want a cheerleader at my game, I can call her. Not to mention, when I had my unofficial visit, I immediately fell in love. The academic buildings were up-to-date, the dining halls were super clean and spacious, and the variety of study rooms and relaxing spaces available around campus was comforting. The library was beautiful, and I could totally picture myself studying for a test or writing an essay. Lastly, as someone who poured their heart and soul into Student Council, I was able to apply for the Leadership Advancement Scholarship and got accepted into the Leadership Institute. It was very important for me to continue building upon my leadership skills. CMU is the place for me!”
