An outstanding football player in the 1950s for the Chippewas ... was twice named Little All-American in 1950 and '51 ... was the nation's leading small college passer the same two seasons, throwing for 1,577 yards in 1950 and 1,560 in '51 ... despite playing just two seasons, Andy's career total of 3,137 yards is still fourth in CMU career records and his TD mark of 27 is second ... spent 35 years in coaching following his graduation in 1953 ... he was a head coach for eight seasons on the high school level and for four years at Northern Arizona ... he was also an assistant at Michigan State, Colorado State, Tulsa, Iowa, Seattle Seahawks and the Buffalo Bills ... a product of Flint Northern ... he is deceased.
