One of the finest hurdlers ever to wear the Maroon and Gold, Barry was an All-American in 1978 in the 400-meter hurdles ... ranked as high as sixth in the nation and 15th in the world in event ... set a Mid-American Conference mark in the 400 of :50.6 in 1978 that lasted for eight years and ran a leg on a record-setting 4x400 meter relay team ... undefeated in outdoor dual meet competition in both the 110 and 400 hurdles for three years, Barry qualified for the Olympic Trials in 1980 in both events ... a product of Wyandotte Roosevelt High.
