Play Suspended in Second Round at Military City Collegiate; CMU's Hunter in the Hunt at TPC San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Play was suspended late in the second round Monday at the Military City Collegiate golf tournament at TPC San Antonio.
The second round is scheduled to be completed on Tuesday followed by the third and final round of the 54-hole, stroke-play event.
Central Michigan shot a 303 team score in the first round, good for 11th place in the 12-team field.
Keith Hunter led the Chippewas with a 1-under par 71, while Hudson Vedder posted a 3-over 75, Philippe Yturralde carded a 4-over 76, while Jeffrey Andrus Jr. and Aydan Downer both shot 9-over 81.
All five Chippewas were on the course when the second round was suspended by darkness.
With three holes remaining on his second round, Hunter is 6-over for the tournament and among a group tied for 26th in the 69-player field.
The final round is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
Abilene Christian posted a 3-over 291 for the first-round lead, two shots ahead of Middle Tennessee. Joshua Hong of host UTSA held the first-round lead after a 3-under 69, two shots ahead of a group of six players that included Hunter.
