A four-year baseball letterwinner, Dan was the Chippewas' MVP in 1984 and 1985, leading two clubs that won Mid-American Conference championships... named to the All-MAC First Team and All-Mideast Region Team in 1985... set school records for career doubles (38), extra base hits (62) and slugging percentage (.639), and single-season marks for doubles (20) and extra base hits (31)... had a 19-game hitting streak at one point during his career... prepped at Midland Dow High School.
