Two-sport standout for the Chippewas who had the distinction of playing center in both football and basketball ... competed from 1953-56 for Central ... was a three-time Interstate Intercollegiate Athletic Conference choice from 1953-55 and was CMU's MVP in 1954 ... led Chippewa cagers in scoring in 1955 with a 19.0 average, and was second in 1954 and '56 ... was the first Central player ever to score 1,000 career points ... was a second team All-American selection in 1953 and became Central's first known draftee in 1956 when the Los Angeles Rams selected him in the 20th round ... Dick also made CMU's All-Time Greatest Team in 1969 ... a product of Saginaw Arthur Hill.
