A 13-letterwinner in the 1920s, George was a standout in football (five letters), basketball (four) and track (four) for Central ... an all-conference selection in football ... invited to a Chicago Bears' tryout camp by George Halas ... qualified for the Olympic Trials in track in the pole vault ... taught and coached at Watervliet High from 1929-47 and then taught for 18 years at Delton High ... product of Hart, George died in 1966.
