First three-time Division I All-American in CMU wrestling history … placed third at the NCAA championships in 2000 (174 pounds), fourth in 1998 (158 pounds) and seventh in 1999 (174 pounds) … won three MAC individual titles in two different weight classes – 150 pounds in 1997 and 174 pounds in 1999 and 2000 … named both MAC Wrestler of the Year and MAC Championships Most Outstanding Wrestler in 2000 … MAC Freshman of the Year in 1997 … member of two MAC championship teams and three teams that won MAC Tournament titles … led CMU to three top 20 finishes at the NCAA Championships, including a fifth-place team finish in 1998 … compiled a career record of 104 wins and 30 losses for a .776 winning percentage … tallied 23 career pins … currently ranks 10th in CMU history for both career winning percentage (.776) and pins (23) … notched a pin in just 16 seconds in 2000 which ranks ninth fastest in school history … finished MAC runner-up the only year he did not win a MAC title, placing behind eventual national champion Dwight Gardner of Ohio; Cunningham went on to finish fourth at nationals that year after moving up a weight class from his freshman year … went 25-11 as a freshman, 25-5 as a sophomore, 28-8 as a junior and 26-6 as a senior … named MAC Wrestler of the Week three times during career … four-time NCAA qualifier … named to the Amateur Wrestling News All-Rookie team in 1997 … served in the United States Marine Corp from 2002 to 2007 … lder brother, Casey, was inducted into the CMU Hall of Fame in 2009 … Middleton, Mich., native who prepped at Fulton High School … family includes daughter Reanna and son Colton … currently living in Farwell, Mich., where he is the Athletic Director, Dean of Students and wrestling coach at Farwell High School.
