Highly-successful baseball coach who retired from CMU as a professor in physical education in 1986 ... served as an assistant in football, basketball and baseball for the Chippewas from 1957-62 ... was head coach for eight seasons, posting a record of 210-91 and winning three Interstate Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) championships ... the first CMU coach in any sport to win 200 games ... named NAIA District 23 "Coach of the Year" in '70 after leading Central to the best record in school history - 36-4 ... coached four All-Americans and four who played in the majors.
