Women's Soccer Falls In Double OT

MOUNT PLEASANT--The Central Michigan University women's soccer team's hard luck continued with a 2-1 double overtime loss to Western Michigan University on Friday afternoon.
The loss is CMU's eighth one-goal loss on the year. The Chippewas' record falls to 6-9 overall and 4-4 in the Mid-American Conference.
Western Michigan's Erin Ivory scored the game-winning goal at the 118:21 mark to give the Broncos the win.
WMU got on the scoreboard first with a goal by Cindy Webber at 34:57. The Broncos kept the 1-0 advantage until the 89:08 mark when CMU's Allison Campbell (Livonia/Jr.) scored to tie the game at 1-1.
CMU goalie Beth Quiney (Milford/Jr.) made three saves while playing the first half and Aryn McCumber (Rochester Hills/So.) made three saves in the second half and overtime sessions.
The Chippewas host Northern Illinois on Sunday at 1 p.m.
