Women's Soccer Posts Win Over BSU

MOUNT PLEASANT -- The Central Michigan University women's soccer team posted an exciting 3-2 win over Ball State University at the Soccer Field Inside Bennett Track on Friday afternoon.
The win improves CMU's record to 8-9 overall and 6-4 in the Mid-American Conference.
With the score tied at 2-2, CMU's Jill Adams (Hudson, OH/Fr.) scored the game-winning goal at 84:13.
Ball State had taken a 1-0 lead on an early goal by Abbie Renaker at the 7:25 mark but the Chippewas countered with goals by Laura Fedrigo (Livonia/Sr.) at 9:56 and Allison Campbell (Livonia/Jr.) at 37:34.
The Cardinals' Eileen Weinheimer tied the game at the 64:00 before Adams tallied the game-winner for the Chippewas.
CMU goalie Beth Quiney (Milford/Jr.) played the entire match, making two saves and giving up two goals.
The Chippewas travel to Miami on Sunday.
