Women's Soccer Posts 3-0 Win Over Detroit

DETROIT--The Central Michigan University women's soccer team (10-9 overall, 7-4 Mid-American Conference) ended the regular season on a four-game winning streak with a 3-0 win over the University of Detroit on Friday afternoon.
Laura Fedrigo (Livonia/Sr.) scored a pair of goals to give CMU a commanding 2-0 advantage. She scored at 18:48 and 48:47 to give the Chippewas control of the game.
Freshman Jamie Tekotte (Fairview, PA) capped the scoring with an unassisted goal at the 55:51 mark.
The regular-season finale marks the second straight year that the Chippewas have posted a winning record. Last year CMU finished 14-6-1 and took second in the MAC with an 8-3 slate.
The Chippewas now move on to the MAC tournament where they will host Western Michigan University in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, Oct. 31. The playoff match will be held at The Soccer Field Inside Bennett Track beginning at 2 p.m.
