Women's Soccer Posts Win Over Ohio

ATHENS, Ohio--Junior Allison Campbell had a pair of goals to lead the Central Michigan women's soccer team to a 4-1 win over Ohio University on Sunday afternoon.
The Chippewas took control of the game early with a goal from Cari VanDyck (Medina, OH/Fr.) just 1:51 into the contest.
It was a defensive battle the rest of the first half with the Chippewas taking their 1-0 lead into halftime.
Central scored three unanswered goals in the second half to put the game away. Laura Fedrigo (Livonia/Sr.) scored at 59:50 while Campbell scored the Chippewas' next two goals at 78:14 and 78:46.
Ohio got on the board late with a goal from Jen Barber at the 88:09 mark to make it 4-1.
Chippewa goalie Beth Quiney (Milford/Jr.) made five saves in the victory.
CMU hosts Western Michigan on Friday, Oct. 13, and Northern Illinois on Sunday, Oct. 15.
