CHICAGO - The Central Michigan University volleyball team (2-3 overall, 0-0 Mid-American Conference) defeated the University of Delaware (2-3 overall) in three games on Friday night at the Loyola Adidas Invitational hosted by Loyola-Chicago.

The Chippewas won by scores of 15-8, 15-10 and 16-14. Junior Jennifer Mitchell (Lake Odessa) led Central with 21 kills and four blocks (two solo, two assisted) while freshman Jenny Young (Plymouth) had 11 kills. Setter Jessica Rocho (Honolulu, Hawaii/Jr.) had 44 assists and a team-high 19 digs.

Central continues play in the Adidas Invitational at Loyola-Chicago on Saturday against Sam Houston State at 11 a.m., and Loyola-Chicago at 5:30 p.m.
