MOUNT PLEASANT - The Central Michigan University volleyball team (4-8 overall, 1-1 Mid-American Conference) picked up its first conference win of the season with a five-game win over the University of Toledo University (3-9, 0-2 Mid-American Conference) on Saturday night in Rose Arena.

The Chippewas won by scores of 15-12, 15-5, 11-15, 12-15, 15-11. Freshman Jenny Young (Plymouth) had 25 kills to lead the Chippewas while sophomore Kristin Tack (Saginaw) had 18 kills. Junior Jennifer Mitchell (Lake Odessa) added 13 kills.

CMU travels to Marshall on Oct. 1 and Ohio on Oct. 2.
