LEXINGTON, KY - The Central Michigan University volleyball team (3-7 overall, 0-0 Mid-American Conference) closed out the Conference Challenge at Kentucky with losses to host Kentucky and Southeast Missouri State on Saturday.

The Chippewas lost Kentucky by scores of 2-15, 15-4, 9-15 and 2-15. Freshman Jenny Young (Plymouth) had 14 kills and sophomore Kristin Tack (Saginaw) had 13 kills and a team-high 10 digs.

Central lost in three straight to Southeast Missouri State, 4-15, 8-15, 2-15. Young again led the Chippewas with 12 kills.

CMU opens the MAC schedule this Friday against Bowling Green in Rose Arena at 7 p.m..
