Chippewas Fall To Kent

MOUNT PLEASANT - The Central Michigan University volleyball team (5-18 overall, 2-11 Mid-American) fell, 3-1, to Kent State University (9-15 overall, 6-7 Mid-American Conference) on Friday night in Rose Arena. The Golden Flashes won by scores of 11-15, 15-7, 15-9, 15-7.

Junior Jennifer Mitchell (Lake Odessa) led CMU with 15 kills and 10 digs. Senior Tennille Hileski (Allegan) had 13 kills while sophomore Kristin Tack (Saginaw) had 12 kills and 10 digs. Junior Jessica Rocho (Honolulu, HI) posted 57 assists and a team-high 25 digs.

Kent was led by Carrie Patterson with 20 kills and 10 digs while Carrie McEnery had 18 kills and 13 digs.

The Chippewas host Akron on Saturday at 7 p.m.
