Women's Soccer Falls To West Virginia

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN--The Central Michigan University women's soccer team (1-2 overall) fell to West Virginia University by a 1-0 count on Friday afternoon in the first round of the Purdue Boilermaker Challenge Cup.
West Virginia's Rachel Kruze scored at the 75:04 mark to break the 0-0 deadlock.
CMU had seven shots on the afternoon. Laura Fedrigo (Livonia/Sr.), Anne Fedrigo (Livonia/Jr.) and Allison Campbell (Howell/Jr.) each had two shots while Andrea Galindo (Livonia/Jr.) added one shot.
CMU goalie Aryn McCumber (Rochester Hills/So.) made six saves on the day.
The Chippewas play in the consolation game against either Purdue or Illinois State on Sunday at noon.
