Women's Soccer Drops MAC Opener

MOUNT PLEASANT -- The Central Michigan University women's soccer team (2-5, 0-1 Mid-American) dropped a 3-1 decision to Bowling Green on Friday at the Soccer Field Inside Bennett Track.
Bowling Green's Jill Conover tallied a goal and two assists in the winning effort. The Falcons took a 2-0 lead before Jill Adams (St. Louis, MO/Fr.) tallied her first goal of her college career at 54:32.
The Chippewas led Bowling Green in shots (19-11) and cornerkicks (8-1) but couldn't come up with the win. Erika Flanders made eight saves for the Falcons while Aryn McCumber (Rochester Hills/So.) made four for the Chippewas.
The Chippewas return to action on Sunday, Sept. 17 when they face the Oakland Golden Grizzlies at Oakland. The match is set to start at noon.
