KALAMAZOO -The Central Michigan women's soccer team (5-5-1, 4-2 Mid-American Conference) saw its four-game winning streak end on Wednesday afternoon at Western Michigan, 1-0.
Kersten Conklin of Western Michigan scored the only goal of the game in the 71st minute when her shot deflected twice before landing behind CMU goalkeeper Kari Alexander (Midland/So.).
Allison Campbell (Livonia/Sr.) led the team with four shots in the game. Alexander faced four shots, two of which were on goal.
CMU returns to action on Friday, Oct. 12, when it travels to Toledo to face the Rockets. The game is set to start at 3 p.m.
