Soccer Dominates Toledo

TOLEDO, OHIO - The Central Michigan women's soccer team (6-5-1 overall, 5-2 Mid-American Conference) returned to its winning ways Friday when it defeated Toledo, 5-0.
Kjersten Kuhlman (St. Louis, Mo./Sr.) scored twice in the first 17 minutes of the game to lead the Chippewas. Her first goal was 1:53 into the game and her second came at the 16:39 mark. Allison Campbell (Livonia/Sr.) picked up an assist on both goals.
Anne Fedrigo (Livonia/Sr.) added to the CMU lead when she scored unassisted at 65:34. Melissa Simons (Canton/Sr.)continued CMU's offensive explosion when she scored unassisted at 76:28. Jennifer Williamson (Midland/So.) capped off the CMU scoring attack with a goal at the 80:18 mark. Melissa Grouzard (Troy) picked up an assist on the goal.
Kari Alexander (Midland/So.) made two saves to pick up shutout victory. Elizabeth Quiney (Milford/Sr.) came in during the 81st minute to close out the victory for the Chippewas.
CMU returns to action this Sunday, Oct. 14, when they visit Bowling Green to face the Falcons. The games is set to start at 1 p.m.
