Helps Picks Up MAC Honor

MOUNT PLEASANT--Central Michigan baseball player Jason Helps (Wyoming, Ontario/Sr.) was named the Mid-American Conference West Division "Player of the Week."

Helps guided the Chippewas to a 5-2 record last week and the title at the 54th Annual Baseball Week Tournament hosted by Rollins College. He was named to the all-tournament team for his efforts.

He hit .344 (11-32) last week with 14 RBI, three home runs, two doubles and a triple. Helps hit for the cycle against Long Island on March 6.
