10 Chippewa Baseball Players Earn MAC Academic Accolades

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Ten Central Michigan Chippewas have been named to the 2026 Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must possess at grade point average of 3.20 or better and have played in at least 50 percent of his team's games. Starting pitchers and key relievers are also eligible.
First-year student-athletes and their first year in the program are ineligible.
The CMU representatives on the squad (listed with year, major and GPA): Spencer Verburg, redshirt senior, masters of business administration -- health system leadership, 3.87; Nate Ross, redshirt senior, graduate certificate -- leadership, 3.86; Liam Stumpf, redshirt senior, general management, 3.71; Jared Hanson, redshirt junior, exercise science, 3.70; Hayden Bailey, senior, community development, 3.49; Zach Knowlton, senior, accounting, 3.48; Dominic Bouscher, redshirt freshman, accounting, 3.46; Cole Prout, senior, exercise science, 3.45; Bryson Webb, redshirt junior, MBA -- entrepreneurship, 3.33; Max Hammond, sophomore, undeclared, 3.24.
It marks the third time that both Hanson, Prout and Webb have earned Academic All-MAC honors and the second time that Ross has accomplished the feat.
