Baseball Posts Come-From-Behind Win

WINTER PARK, Fla.--Central Michigan scored five runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to post a 10-9 victory over Virginia Tech on Wednesday afternoon.
Virginia Tech scored first with one in the second inning but the Chippewas tied it in the third inning when Jason Helps homered.
VTU took the lead with a pair in the fourth while CMU sliced the lead to 3-2 with a single run in the fourth. Matt Crowley doubled to score Mike Galloway.
The Hokies increased their lead to 8-2 with five runs in the sixth while the Chippewas scored one run in the sixth and two in the seventh to make it 8-5.
Crowley homered in the sxith for CMU while Brad Reid had an RBI and Mike Galloway scored an unearned run in the seventh.
Virginia Tech extended its lead to 9-5 with a run in the ninith but the Chippewas came from behind with five runs in the bottom of the nith.
Reid and Crowley had RBI singles while Tim Bullinger and Tom Grzywacz both walked with the bases loaded. Helps won the game with a sacrifice fly that scored Bullinger.
T.J. Johnson picked up the win for the Chippewas. He gave up five hits and one run in three innings of action. Johnson's record is 1-0 on the year.
Galloway hit 5-for-5 with three runs scored while Crowley went 4-for-5 with three RBI.
CMU faces Rollins College on Thursday at 7 p.m.
