Baseball Posts Come-From-Behind Victory

WINTER PARK, Fla.--Central Michigan scored the final eight runs of the game to post an 8-7 come-from-behind victory over Rollins College on Thursday night.
The Tars were in control during the early going, scoring two runs in the first, three in the second and two in the third to take a commanding 7-0 lead.
The Chippewas got a run back in the fourth inning on a Brad Reid RBI single to make it 7-1 and added five more in the fifth to close the gap to 7-6.
Tim Bullinger drove in a pair with a single to center, Jason Helps smashed a two-run homer and Reid rounded out the scoring with an RBI single.
Central tied the score at 7-7 in the sixth inning when Scott Pickens doubled and eventually scored on a wild pitch.
CMU got the go-ahead run with an RBI double by Matt Crowley that scored Mike Galloway.
Pitcher Dan Horvath held Rollins to just five hits in the final six innings after giving up eight hits and seven runs in the first three frames.
Horvath went the distance in improving his record to 2-1 on the year. He gave up 13 hits and seven runs (five earned) and struck out nine.
Offensively, CMU was led by Bullinger, Helps and Crowley who each had two RBI.
The Chippewas return to action on Friday afternoon, taking on Long Island at 1 p.m.
