AKRON, OHIO -- The Central Michigan women's soccer team (4-4-1 overall, 3-1 Mid-American Conference) scored twice in the final four minutes of the match to pick up the victory on Sunday afternoon, 2-1
Anne Fedrigo's (Livonia/Sr.) unassisted goal with 51 seconds left in the match lead the Chippewas to victory.
Akron opened the scoring with a goal by Jeannie Stuckey in the 83rd minute of the match. The Chippewas Jenny Williamson (Midland/So.) evened it up three minutes later when she scored off of an assist by Olina Vidarsdottir (Grindavik, Iceland/Fr.).
Kari Alexander (Midland/So.) faced seven shots, two of which were on goal, to pick up the win.
The Chippewas return home to face Marshall on Sunday, Oct. 7. The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
